Field Initiatives

There are several on-going in communities that are doing the trick in turning communities ODF. Some of them concentrate on creating demand for household latrines through behaviour change communications and sanitation marketing; some focus on supply of household latrines; some focus on latrine technology development; some focus on household latrine financing models; others focus on capacity development; some also focus on monitoring and evaluation etc. It is good to understand that all the approaches work together to achieve the best and fastest results. Below are some of the major initiatives that are very common in Ghana.
