District ODF Brief
The Nadowli Kaleo District has a population of about 64,000 people spread over 141 communities. Out of this number, 66 were open defecation-free as at July, 2018, representing 47% ODF achivement. Like most other districts fighting open defecation in Ghana, Nadowli Kaleo is using the CLTS as the main approach to promote the norm of always using a toilet and stopping open defecation. UNICEF and the World Bank are the main partners supporting the district to end open defecation.
