The Kadjebi District started implementing CLTS in 2012. Kadjebi shot quickly into fame as the most dependable district in the Volta Region with the prospect of achieving a districtwide ODF within a short time. Currently out of the 134 communities in the district, 61 had been verified as ODF as at July 2018. The district identifies and works with Natural Leaders, the best performing among who have been developed into Networks to achieve success in wider areas.  The District has also trained latrine artisans and technical volunteers to support latrine construction in communities. Kadjebi has a vision to declare 100% ODF by 2020. UNICEF and World Vision have remained the major partners supporting the district to end open defecation. For further information about the ODF situation in the Kadjebi District, you may call the District Environmental Health Officer, Saviour, on 0244981655.
